Renowned fashion designer and producer Manish Malhotra is grieving the loss of his mother, Garima Malhotra, who passed away on March 19, 2026, at the age of 94.
The heartbreaking news saw an outpouring of love and support from the film and fashion industry. Close friends and celebrities such as Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Karan Johar, Karisma Kapoor, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan visited his Mumbai residence to offer their condolences and stand by him during this difficult time.
The last rites were held on March 20 at the Hindu Crematorium in Santa Cruz West, Mumbai, where several members of the industry gathered to pay their respects. Among those present were Karan Johar, Rakul Preet Singh, and Khushi Kapoor.
Remembering his mother with deep love, Manish took to Instagram to share a touching tribute. Posting her picture, he wrote, “Love and miss you forever,” expressing the profound void her loss has left in his life.
